Puzzlement Thinking/ Scriptural Truth.
This week I been Studying about two big topics. One is about a voice of warning about pride another is about exposing the enemies of Christ, or mainly good nation leaders vs. bad nation leaders.
For the Topic of Voice of Warning Pride, well.. that is more the simple one of the two. My insights for those are this down below.
For the Topic of Voice of Warning Pride, well.. that is more the simple one of the two. My insights for those are this down below.
- Alma 4: 12 and Alma 51:14 made me think about misunderstanding, miscommunication, or not understanding a person world can cause pride within us and make us think that person is crazy, or the enemy, just because they act different than social norms or see the world differently than we do.
- We see people misunderstanding each other all the time on Facebook. In my other class, we learned about a girl with Autism. The way she act and behavior with her environment is different than most people, and if you just see her, she may seem strange or odd, but the way she explain the way she act, help you understand where she is coming from and the concept of what stood out to me during my scripture study fits perfectly in how easy it could be to judge her and allow pride in. The video is called "In my language" by silentmiaow and is found on YouTube.
- Alma 44:2-4 and Jacob 7:1-7 make me think about the people who lead our nation and also the signs of someone trying to corrupt the people.
- Other good scriptural references are Alma 2:1-10, Alma 44:1-7, and Alma 45:23-24; 46:1-10, where political power can be used to destroy religious freedom.
The main problem I am facing is this fact that I written below.
- Many different members, good Latter Day Saints, has different views on politics, and leaders of the nation. Some people see the scriptures apply to bad leaderships when it comes to Trump or Obama. Why are there so many views? Whose actually right?
- My view is that Trump is the evil one. The thing is, he is promoting Religious Freedom which is good, but he can’t be trusted in my mind. Obama values and morals are not mine (abortion), but he does treat people right. Trump on the other hand doesn’t, but supporting Religious Freedom. Why do they give mixed signals? There actions towards others shows different people, but the actions they promoting for the Nations show something else.
Id I love that Trump is promoting Religious Freedom, which is a right everyone, no matter what they believe in, should have. I just hate how raciest he is, how discriminating he is, and how he treat the people within his own family like. I don't care how Obama promoted abortion verses other things He was creating for the US, but I love how he treated others and his family. They both sending mixed signals. I believe that if a nurse don't believe in abortion, that they don't have to be a part of giving abortion. The Government shouldn't force that on them. I don't agree with if someone need medical help, that they don't get the help they need due to they are LGBT or for whatever race, gender, etc they might be.
O I get so confused by it all. The only thing I know for sure, and that one thing is the only thing I can hold unto and the only thing that make sense is that Heavenly Father love us and taking care of us. Even if the Nation may have bad leadership and the leaders who may lead might not have good values or morals, that Heavenly Father will protect us and as US Citizen must try to share our views, stand up for truth, and defend our country, the best we can. Even if we were in bondage in America,
th as we continue to stay faithful to Heavenly Father, we will be bought out of bondage, just like it shows time after time again in the scriptures and strive to be directed by the Holy Ghost, and prayer to know the right direction to head toward to. We need to continue to love one of another and help each other. It doesn't matter what nation, race, gender or belief we have, we still need to love one another. It doesn't mean agreeing with other people views or way of living, but being accepting of them for who they are and loving them. This fact, is the fact I will hold unto, even if I don't understand everything. That is one thing I can and do understand for sure. It is something I will never let go of, even when things become more confusing in the world and nation. I will listen and apply what God prophet, Apostles, and leaders teach me, and seek to always continue to know truth for myself. That's the only thing each one of us can do, is seek to know truth for ourselves and stay close to our Father in Heaven.
